Matlacks
Ken was born and raised in Bavaria, Germany, where his parents served as missionaries. He accepted Christ when he was nine years old, and at 17 felt called to the ministry. Following his graduation from Clearwater Christian College in 1979, Ken attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. He received his master of divinity and master of Christian education degrees in 1984.
Tammie grew up in a Christian home in Columbus, Ohio and learned to trust Christ at an early age. She is also a graduate of Clearwater Christian College, and has been involved in ministry through music, drama, and Bible teaching, as well as having undertaken occasional secretarial durites. Currently, Tammie's ministry focus in on intercessory prayer.
Upon completing seminary, Ken was involved in church planting in Palm Harbor, Florida. He served at Community Presbyterian Church for seven years before pursuing ministry through Mission to the World. Since 1993, the Matlacks have been leading MTW's team in the eastern half of Berlin, with a goal toward seeing a church-planting multiplication movement begin there. The team's focus is on training German believers in the various facets and ministries of church planting.
Ken is also Country Director in charge of German-speaking Europe.
